This site is built and maintained by Willis Innovations LLC, an independent publisher. Our soil-risk scores are computed from the USDA's SSURGO soil survey — the federal soil database — with the method and source named on every page. We score the counties with sufficient SSURGO survey coverage; counties without adequate soil-survey data are excluded rather than estimated. Repair cost ranges are summarized from public pricing references and standard industry method ranges. We are not affiliated with the USDA or any government agency, and nothing here is a substitute for a site-specific geotechnical or structural engineering assessment.
